Features:
- Test telephone, faxes and modem
- Simulates a Telephone Exchange with one master and five extensions
- Line voltages and currents are calibrated to meet type-approved standards
- No need to connect to a telephone line which means no phone charges to pay
- Useful for demos exhibitions, training, R&D, service centers, etc.
Descriptions:
The instrument generates feeding voltage for both the master and the extension unit. Dial tone is generated at off-hook for testing of the receiver or start of auto dialer. Dialed digits (either DTMF or dial pulse) are displayed upon detection. The display shows 16 digits, but up to 64 digits can be stored and recalled.
The speech levels are graphically displayed for easy calibration of the microphone circuit. Dialing 238 from the master will call the unit connected to the extension terminal and a ring back tone is fed back to the master. Ring back tone, busy tine and number unobtainable tones can be generated by dialing 300 to 303.
Line attenuation is provided to simulate field conditions. you can control the signal levels on the line. DTMF tones or dial pulses sent by the calling device can be reduced until they fail to be detected by the receiver.
SIMTEL 238 provides line length simulations of 1km & 7km. By simulating a 7km distance, it checks whether the equipment connected at long distances can operate properly.
