The Microprocessor - 1B is a unique computer system, designed specifically for teaching microprocessor, microelectronics and control technology. In its simplest form, the Microprocessor technology, through the use of machine code entered via a hexadecimal keypad.

By inserting the optional Zilog peripheral chips, the device becomes a powerful controller with 16 input/output lines and 4 counter/timer channels. The MPF-1B may also be used as a target system for use with our IBM-PC cross assembler package enabling it to be used in the most advanced microprocessor courses.

Using the MPF-1B is simplicity itself, all monitor functions are involved by pressing one, clearly marked, function key. The six character display prompts the user and displays data as it is entered. The monitor does not confidence, in knowledge, that if your program does not work, you can debug your program, NOT the system firmware.

The wide range of expansion options available for the MPF-1B enable it to be used in many different teaching environments, from simple machine code programs through to complex macro assembler based closed loop control systems.
