Due to the fact that nearly all the different physical phenomena generate information with an Analogical character and the convenience, both technical as well as economic, of the fact that these signals will be transmitted digitally, have brought us to make a detailed study of these Signals Conversion systems from Analogical to Digital and vice-versa.
For this digital processing of the information received and its subsequent treatment, in Regulation and Control of load or actuators of an analogical character, Teaching Equipment for the Study of Analogical/Digital and Digital/Analogical Converters has been designed.
This allows us to study, in detail, each one of the individual operations that make up a Conversion Process.
A/D CONVERSION { Sampling
Maintenance
Quantification
Codification }
D/A CONVERSION { Restitution }
Through this Equipment we can understand the operation of the converters in a totally visual and interactive way, interpreting the graphics generated by the program, as the parameters of the Converter vary.
Descriptions
This equipment is made up of:
-
Rack or Base Unit . This permits the accommodation of the different modules with power supply incorporated.
-
Modules:
-
The interface module-control is entrusted of the Converter module Management, as well as with the communication and data exchange with the PC
-
The A/D Converter Module incorporates all the elements for the construction of the said converters. 7 different types of converter can be formed
-
The D/A Converter Module incorporates all the elements for construction of the said converters. 8 different types of Converter can be formed.
-
Simulation and Control Software , specific program for the study of the A/D-D/A Conversion concept in a visual way. Can be used for both the Control of the Equipment, as well as for results and graphics visualization, permitting the prior simulation of the results.
-
Connection leads for the communication of the Equipment with the PC and the assembly of practices.
